Abstract
Pratt et. al., (1978) have shown that if the TTS in a subject is about 20 dB reduced synaptic efficacy' may be responsible for the TTS and that the dysfunction
of the hair cells may be ruled out. Their conclusion was based on the fact that they did not observe reduction in cochlear microphonic although there was
TTS of about 20 dB.
