Abstract

Speech is such a natural by product of maturation process that it's development is always taken for granted. And it is hearing, the main channel through which we learn to speak. Hearing impairment either at birth or soon after birth and during early childhood results in a concomitant deficiency in comprehension and usage of speech. All the studies on the Speech of the hearing impaired that have been conducted so far have just revealed the fact that, the hearing impaired individuals do not produce speech as well as those who hear.
