dc.description.abstract | Audiometric study has been carried out on 45 naval gunnery crew having different lengths of service. With increasing length of service, the degree of hearing loss increased and was quite conspicuous in subjects with more than 10 years of service. The nature of audiogram depicted sensori-neural loss in these subjects. Together with bone conduction, air conduction measurements showed middle ear involvement as well. The speech frequencies were also affected in subjects with more than 10 years of service. | en_US |
